Copyright and African American Collections
Copyright and African American Collections is a workshop designed for archivists, records creators, and collectors of African American archival materials. Part of the workshop will be devoted to the basic principles of copyright law. Next, participants will explore case studies and discuss any specific issues or questions they may have related to their own collections. Instructed by Peter Hirtle, a renowned expert on copyright and archival collections, attendees will leave with a better understanding of copyright issues from the perspectives of repositories, creators and copyright owners.
