In the fall of 2011, Archivist/Surveyor Andy Steadham delivered a presentation at the Newberry Library's weekly colloquium. Andy's presentation, delivered as the Survey Initiative was winding down, concerned both the survey methodology and the opportunities in terms of institutional collaboration and scholarly inquiry that are suggested by the project's findings.

Archivist/Surveyor Andy Steadham was part of a panel of presenters at eChicago, an interdisciplinary conference on the subject of digital technology and its potential use within Chicago's communities. Andy's presentation was a brief overview of the BMRC's Archival Survey Initiative, focusing on the Second Space concept.

In the spring of 2010, Lead Survey Archivist Lisa Calahan and Bergis Jules were part of a panel of presenters at the Spring Meeting of the Midwest Archives Conference in Chicago. Lisa's presentation served as an overview of the BMRC's Archival Survey Initiative, providing examples of survey experiences at both BMRC Member and Second Space Institutions.

In the summer of 2009, Consulting Archivist Tamar Dougherty and Project Director Bergis Jules were part of a panel of presenters at the Annual Meeting of the Society of American Archivists in Austin, Texas. Their presentation, delivered just as the Archival Survey Initiative was getting underway, served as an introduction to the survey methodology.
