Abstract
Biographical/Historical Note:
The office of the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs works to create a student body that reflects the diversity of Illinois, facilitate graduation through special programs and services, and establish a positive and diverse learning environment that is necessary to expand student's lives. The Vice Chancellor, who is also the Provost, oversees the Offices of the Vice Provosts for: Information Technology; Academic Enrollment Services; Planning and Programs; Resource Planning and Management; Graduate and Continuing Studies, Faculty Affair; and Undergraduate Affairs.

The Office of the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Statement of Strategic Intent states that UIC Student Affairs will take a leadership role in engaging students in learning experiences and developing partnerships that result in student success.

Scope and Content Note:
This collection includes planning documents, reports, memoranda and correspondence related to the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, 1980-2003. Both materials created by the office and documents created by others but related to planning and academic policy at UIC are represented. Collection includes UIC strategic plans, reports and briefs, budget memos, committee information, and inclusivity reports and statements.
